This visa allows employers to address labour shortages by bringing in skilled workers where no suitable Australian workers are available.

Basic Eligibility

Be nominated for a skilled position by
an approved sponsor

Have the skills and qualifications required for the nominated role

Meet minimum English language requirements

Have at least 1 year of relevant work experience in your occupation or related field in the last 5 years.

Hold a skills assessment if required for your occupation

Work only for your sponsoring employer (unless exempt)

Must meet health, character requirements by all applicants .
