Aged Dependent Relative Visa (Subclass 114 and 838)-

This permanent visa lets a single older person stay in Australia if they rely on a relative living in Australia for financial support.

You must

Must be sponsored by an eligible relative or eligible relative’s partner

Must meet the pension age requirement in Australia (between 65 and 67 at the time of writing)

Must be dependent on the sponsor financially (i.e. for everyday living or due to disability that prevents the applicant from working)

Must have no partner

Must have an assurance of support

Must meet health and character requirements

Must have repaid all debts to the Australian Government (or made arrangements for these payments to the Australian Government)
